The Annunciation theme for the tabernacle art was intended to create a meaningful relationship to the name of the adoration chapel, “Chapel of The Incarnation”.  The Incarnation of Our Lord at the Annunciation when the “the word was made flesh and dwelt amongst us” (John 1:14)

Inside the tabernacle doors are a pair of angels in perpetual adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. The gesture of reverence as the angel kneels and genuflect is a reminder to each of us.

Art needs to be means of visual catechism and convey correct worship reserved for blessed sacrament, in this case, the correct posture of genuflection –according to the General Instruction of the Roman Missal (GIRM) states, “A genuflection, made by bending the right knee to the ground, signifies adoration, and therefore it is reserved for the Most Blessed Sacrament.
